| Steph: Excuse moi, it's not the anniversary of the Iraqi War, it's the anniversary of September 11th.
THIS is the anniversary of the Iraqi War
Cat: Yes, this is an icon site but I have no other xanga in which to express what I think. |

| Can you really believe it's been five years? Five long years. Five years since an event that began a war. Five years since thousands of people died- civilians, policemen, firemen. Five years since an attack on one of America's largest office buildings. And there were other attacks as well. More buildings were hit, and a few were aimed for but missed. All in all, it doesn't matter. What does matter is the lives that were lost and sacrificed.
Rest In Peace, victims of the 2001 September 11th terrorist attacks.

| Music. Music is like food. It
cultivates your mind and pleases your ears. It brings out emotions. It
can make you cry. It can make you laugh. It can make you smile. It can
make you pound your pillow in anger. It can make you think. It can
bring back memories. It can give you courage. It can make you step back
from the medicine cabinet or take the razor from your wrist. It can
give you a rush of adrenaline or lull you to sleep. It gives sight to
the blind. It can tell a story. It can spark creativity. Music
inspires. Music gives hope. And in this way, musicians are like gods.
They can do all those things. They can teach. They can make you sway
slowly back and forth as tears fall from your eyes or they can make you
jump around headbanging. They carve each generation and the future
which each generation will make. They sculpt cultures. Most of all,
they help us live. They show us all sides of emotion. They help us
break through our problems and see the truth in our lives. And they
teach, cause emotion, carve and sculpt all with one tool. Music. So
listen.
